Study review Course and Certification Examination

The Manitoba Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) is offering two 3-day sessions for the ACI CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician program on April 22-23-24 and June 3-4-5, 2026. Join the more than 1,000 Manitobans who have satisfied the CSA Standard’s requirement for field testing personnel certification (A23.1:24 clause 4.4.1.7).

Each session includes an optional review of the seven CSA Test Methods included in this ACI certification program: sampling plastic concrete, temperature of freshly mixed concrete, slump of concrete, air content of plastic concrete by the pressure method, making and curing concrete test specimens, slump flow of concrete, and density and yield of plastic concrete. Each session will also include the written and performance ACI examinations. 

Certification is conditional to the successful completion of the written and performance ACI-accredited exams. This certification is recognized worldwide and satisfies the requirements of CSA Group A23.1-19. The Instructor and Examiner will be Guillaume Beauce, P Eng., Certification Examiner for the ACI Manitoba Chapter.

The number of registrants is limited to a total of 25 for each session. The Registration Form is to be completed and emailed to [email protected].  Registration is based on a first come, first served basis for PAID registrations.

The 3-day workshop and certification sessions are offered at the following times and location:

When:        Day 1 - April 22 or June 3  (classroom)

Day 2 - April 23 or June 4 (classroom and performance practice)

Day 3 - April 24 or June 5 (written and performance exams)

Location : Red River College, Winnipeg (exact room TBD)

Registration: 8:30 AM

Presentation: 9:00 AM – 4:00pm

Who Should Attend? Personnel who perform concrete testing on project sites, in the laboratory or in the plant, must be certified to satisfy CSA’s requirements. Certification is also recommended for engineers, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors who plan for and review concrete testing programs. 
 
A copy of the ACI CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician Workbook will be provided to each participant for use in home study prior to attending the session (shipping address to be provided on registration form).  
 
Participants who are successful on the written and performance examinations will earn the designation of ACI CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician. This certification is valid for five years. 
 
Those seeking re-certification may only attend the examination portions of the session on either April 24 or June 5, 2026. It is not a requirement to attend the review portions of the session; however, this option is available to all who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills. 

The enrolment fees include the ACI Workbook, full ACI exam (written and performance), ACI International wall certificate and wallet card (upon receiving a passing grade). Fees are as follows:

Full Course (GST Extra):        $ 1,100.00  for non-members

                       $ 935.00 for Manitoba Chapter members

Re-certification Exam Only (GST Extra): $ 575.00 for non-members

                                 $ 505.00 for Manitoba Chapter members
